As part of Melbourne’s growing Northern corridor, the development of Mernda Town Centre invites exciting opportunity for new business and continued employment opportunities to the area.
It took time for the site to settle into Occasio Projects control, having been owned by several other parties prior. They saw the opportunity the site provided and have now taken stage one through to completion. Stage one sees Woolworths, the privious owner of the site, remain as the key anchor tenant to deliver a full-line supermarket, along with 35 speciality retail shops. Eventually the development would include retail, commercial, entertainment and residential, delivered over stagesin the coming years.

Construction commenced in the second half of 2021 with George Rydell managing the build.
Trumark supplied Alteria Aluminium Battens in 50mm x 50mm Evoke wood-look Osage for the facade of the project. The rich colour of Osage helps to warm the building, creating dramatic verticals, up to 6.5m high, wrapping around the entire building.

Trumark were also able to help with supplying Stud and Track, James Hardie Versilux™ Lining, Cladding System Accessories and Fixings and concealed ceiling systems. Trumark’s ability to assist in several areas of the project, coupled with expert product knowledge, has help reduce the burden on trades, speeding up installation across the build. This is particularly evident with the installation of Alteria Battens, the two-piece system allows installation to happen quickly, with the highest quality finish possible.

Since opening in 2022 the new town centre has been a hub of activity, with new a plethora of dining options, and Woolworths and Marketplace at the core of the building. Trumark are excited to see what the future stages will bring of this massive development supporting the growing area.
